As the country has been constructing smart grid vigorously over the years, overhead transmission lines inevitably go through mountains, canyons, lakes, rivers and other rough terrain, which brings enormous challenges to the safe transmission of electricity. Based on advanced technologies of the current measurement, information processing and communication, on-line monitoring system for overhead transmission lines can overcome all defects brought by manual periodic inspection, such as costly, time-consuming and less accurate. Upon this, the system has been one of the hotspots in electrical maintenance field.As for the 220 kv power transmission line project constructed cooperatively by Changdu power grid and Sichuan power grid, I have studied the on-line monitoring system in detail. As a result, the micro-climate online monitoring system and sag online monitoring system are designed. The design includes four parts, main station system of urban power bureau, condition monitoring agent, condition monitoring module and communications network. With regard to main station system, I mainly complete overall architecture design of sever side. On the basis of microprocessor MSP430F5438 A and integrated chips, such as W25Q128, 23LC1024, AD8210 and ADM2483, I has also designed a condition monitoring agent with functions like processing of status data, storage, communication and so on. The minimal system module MSP430F5438 A, communication module, power management module and sensor measurement module of microprocessor constitute the state monitoring module together. As for the tower condition monitoring module, integrated chip SHT75 and BMP180 are used to perform the measurement of the environment temperature, humidity data and air pressure data around the tower. In the traverse condition monitoring module, integrated chip SCA30D07 and PT100 are utilized to obtain wire surface temperature and the angle of inclination. The main station system and the condition monitoring agent can realize the transferring of status data and issuing of monitoring instruction through GPRS-DTU module. The condition monitoring agent and the state monitoring module will achieve to issue the instruction of near-field status data collection through RS485 and ZigBee.The experiments were carried out in engineering field and the overall system performance was tested through the main system server Web. The test results turn out that the main system software operates smoothly, the communication network works properly and the state monitoring of microclimate and wires remains normal. In consequence, the design has certain value for practical engineering application.
