Electric power industry is the basic industry of a country, and plays an important role in the development of the national economy, on the one hand it is about people’s daily life, on the other hand and various production activities are inseparable. Reliable power protection is an important basic resource for enterprise’s development. At present, the distribution network in China is still in the preliminary stage of development, still belongs to the category of local pilot, related technology is not perfect, it is difficult to line of promotion, each area to manage. Research work relate distribution automation, can solve the practical problems encountered in the development of China’s power industry, has the important research value.In the research of the topic specific distribution network in this paper, selected from the group consisting of Nanchang area as an example of a specific object of study,the study of its present appearance of distribution feeder automatic fault desolation key shortcomings; due to its weak stricture of distribution network, and the low rate of load transfer; there are still more questions in the field of distribution network and backward management, thus, how to study the distribution network just means to solve the problem of low Nanchang power supply reliability of distribution network. Through the research of distribution network automation system, choose the suitable distribution network distribution network automation Nanchang form and pilot. Through the implementation of the pilot reform of distribution network automation and applied research, summed up implementable plan and optimization direction for automation reconstruction of distribution network in Nanchang.
