It is known that there will be the second earthquake after the first earthquake, and a lot of structures that are damaged lightly in the main-shock will be destroyed or collapsed in the second earthquake. The standards that are used now only consider the effect of the first earthquake, so it is very essential for us to study the seismic response of the reinforced concrete structure after two times earthquake.After introducing the background and importance of studying the first and the second earthquake, we summarize the research status of studying both here and abroad. Because traditional method cannot unload from structure, another quasi-test reversal load pattern method is selected to analysis structures, in this way, anti-seismic property of structures can be achieved. Then we mainly do the following research:1. The creating of capacity curve, demand curve, strength reduction coefficient model and elastoplasticity demand curve of Pushover are introduced. In this paper, one new method is presented to solve performance point, and this method is proved through two reinforced concrete frame structures. Then the new method and the other methods are compared.2. Based on the new method, some programs are written with Matlab software to get performance point. Two reinforced concrete frame structures are created in this paper, and they are designed according to different intensities. Then the reinforcement and sectional dimension are imported into IDARC, the dates of base shear and top displacement can be got. Now these dates are imported into the Matlab programs, so the performance point of different earthquake can be achieved.3. The Park-Ang damage index model is selected, we research the effect of the second earthquake in two aspects: the second earthquake that is in the same direction with the first earthquake, and the second earthquake that is in the different direction with the first earthquake, in this way the damage states of structures are judged.4. Based on the above work, the energy dissipation and the damage of floor when structures are suffered different earthquakes are studied.
