Distribution automation technology is an important part of the smart grid. Promoting the distribution network for efficient, economical, stable, safe operation play an active role. Provide customers with safe, reliable, high-quality electricity. With the urban and rural power grid construction and renovation project in depth, not only to meet people now supply reliability and fault repair requires recovery time, but also to meet the development needs of the grid after a decade. To optimize the distribution network operation and management, is a worthy topic of current research.This paper studies according to the status of the current distribution network automation, combined with Anshan pilot construction of power grids. Anshan City, the overall transformation of the distribution network gives the overall structure of the two-tier distribution automation system architecture models, including power distribution station and distribution terminal two main structural models. Describes the distribution automation system to improve all aspects of the construction of small and medium urban distribution network reliability, economy and other significance. Analysis of the current structure of the typical pattern of distribution automation systems and distribution networks of small and medium sized city with its own characteristics, combined with the construction of the pilot project, a number of aspects of the study design for the master distribution automation, sub-stations terminals, and communications system software and hardware platform for building architectural patterns. Focus on research and analysis of a distribution automation equipment and terminal configuration, which includes the overhead line equipment and cables branch network switchgear equipment and so on. Detailed description of the SCADA system functions, SMS alarm function, real-time data management, historical data management capabilities and equipment maintenance entry master system program functions; terminal design by column switch, RMU and other components; Finally, communication system and benefit analysis.The content of this research through the management and distribution monitoring system, and improve network graphics, establish a data repository and built in Anshan distribution automation platform to achieve a complete and effective distribution network feeder automatic function, and ultimately to improve the distribution of Anshan efficiency and level of production management, and bring considerable economic and social benefits.
