The distribution substation of electric power industry widely, both the distribution of each city and rural area, so it has wide distribution, the characteristics of network construction difficult. At this stage, the video monitoring system in large-scale network is based on a number of industries to get promotion. Therefore, to strengthen the power industry network construction has become the necessary conditions to ensure the stable transmission of video stream. With the network equipment and the environment continues to improve, the hardware performance of video host gradually increased, according to the characteristics of power distribution substation video monitoring system in Jiangsu Province, will be distributed in 13 cities in the province of the network, to realize the overall layout and management, will soon become a reality. Therefore, through the study and build a large network video monitoring platform, make full use of the existing cyber source and hardware equipment, through the video system integrated a number of development, and build the network video monitoring platform to a higher level, to provide services for complex networks and systems.This paper expounds the current situation and the development of network video monitoring technology, and put forward the basic goal of this paper. And then the system demonstration and Analysis on the target, the overall plan to further establish the system construction. Then each module of the program in the detailed design and implementation. And in the design process fully embodies two points: first, to effectively integrate the various manufacturers of video system development; second, to adjust the different network bandwidth. After completing the system design, compiling system description and summarizes the characteristic.Structure of the system is realized by using C/S structure, and the video monitoring system is divided into three parts, the first part is the client, the second part is the video acquisition terminal; the third part is the main work: remote management and configuration node video acquisition terminal is completed a number of clients in different periods of video information monitoring, preliminary acquisition the end of the preliminary monitoring information under multi function. The first function is to collect the compression, second is the storage and playback of third is the network support. The main work is to complete the configuration of the remote management node remote video data collection, the video collection terminal settings and user permissions to control state. Node set remote operation and can run in the client and the server specified in the video, but also in any state of the Internet on a computer operation.The running state of network video monitoring platform to fully integrate multiple systems, and implement efficient management in monitoring, greatly reducing management costs, improve management efficiency. Therefore, we can see that the system has good application value and market demand. Provide a new means to speed up the visualization management, enterprise management reporting rate, reduce reporting links, speed up decision-making, improve management efficiency.
