With the development of power system automation, power industry has become the foundation of national economy and the important guarantee of social development. With the proposal of the concept of smart grid, the power grid puts forward some new requirements to the management of interruptible load. Now people’s increasing demand on the quality of electrical energy is challenging the power enterprise, and the society’s dependence on the electric power industry is also growing. However, the power supply and power quality cannot meet the users’ growing demand for electricity. Therefore, the management of interruptible load is particularly important. Power supply company can grasp the power information of users timely by the terminal hardware device, and further analyze the electricity information, so as to predict the users’ energy needs, providing the necessary basis for the system’s secure, stable operation and power planning. Users can also reduce electricity costs and conserve energy according to energy information.This thesis is based on the interruptible load managed by demand side, as a virtual energy. Through employing a number of economic instruments, the original pattern of energy consumption of users is changed. In this case, the running costs of the standby unit are reduced, and the system’s economic stability and elasticity of demand are increased, when no extra energy is consumed, which realizes peak clipping and valley filling, so as to save energy In this thesis, specific research content mainly includes:(1) China’s current electricity energy situation is analyzed and researched. To overcome the problem of shortage of electricity during peak period, the significance of performing management of interruptible load in Smart Grid, which can realize peak clipping and valley filling, and improve the stability of the grid, is elaborated. Simultaneously, it’s discussed that the problem of interruptible loads management and its direction of development in the smart grid.(2) Terminal hardware of detection and controlling system unit of interruptible load is designed, including MCU, infrared sending and receiving circuit, and ANT wireless module.(3) A grouping optimization control method dealing with interruptible load based on improved binary discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm, and a parameter selecting method of self-learning factors and social factors in the progress of iteration algorithm, is proposed. In the process of modeling interruptible load, full account of user satisfaction, life of electrical equipment, energy use rebounded and other restrictions are taken.(4) PC software system is designed based on WinCC, which realizes the visualization of the situation of interruptible load energy used.
