Study On The Power Cable Online Monitoring And Anti-theft System

In order to timely detect and stop criminal damage to cables, we designed a new type of cable theft monitoring system.Thesis put forward the system overall design scheme based on the functional requirements of the cable theft system, the system consisted of three parts, they were the front-end detection unit, a transmission unit and background monitoring system. The main function of the detection unit is to detect cable seasonably, in which selection of power line carrier method for cable testing, the principle is that add the extra carrier signal on the cable, which can detect the cables, detection unit will continuously receives the carrier signal, if the carrier signal is interrupted, then it means cable stolen.Selection of wireless and wired transmission unit in two ways as a means of communication, in the cable is stolen, the detection unit uses wireless communication technology to send short messages to mobile workers alarm; at the same time via RS485 bus, and fiber-optic cables to send information to background monitoring center.Background monitoring center when receiving the cable information, analysis and processing of such information, and communication via Ethernet to transmit information to the monitoring platform, then the system of cables for testing, when the system self-test will show all currently detected cable information, if cable fails, then the error message will include the cable number, fault type, time of occurrence is displayed, and via SMS or telephone voice message will be notified of the failure to advance a preset phone number in the system, inspectors make timely notification of measures to reduce losses.After the verification, the system completes the testing unit for the real-time detection of the cable, data transmission, the monitoring center and the background of the expected functions such as real-time monitoring of the cable, can be stolen in cable by external force or malicious damage such as alarm.
