Regional transport corridor is the bridge and the link to personnel and material exchange between cities. Building an efficient transport corridor can promote the utilization of social resources and the economic development of cities in the region. Our country is in the process of rapid development of high speed railway, and the major transport corridors will successively introduced the transportation, which will have obvious influence on the structure of passenger market in the future. Scientifically forecasting the structure of passenger market within the corridor after the introduction of high speed railway is of great significance. In this paper, on the basis of the research of the transport corridor and mode split at home and abroad, the author analyzed the composition of passenger transport corridor, the characteristics of passenger flow and factors of mode choice for travelers, and built up the mode split model of transport corridor based on the disaggregate theory. In this article, the author first expounded the transport corridor’s definition and formation mechanism of passenger transport corridor, analyzed characteristics of the means of transport and passenger flow, the two elements of passenger transport corridor system, and summarized the factors affecting passenger travel mode choice. Then the author compared the differences between aggregate model and disaggregate model, and obtained the conclusion that disaggregate model is superior to the aggregate model. Then the principle of the disaggregate model and the commonly used methods of its parameter calibration were introduced. On the premise of the RP data and SP data analysis, the author mastered the regular of passenger travel behavior, and chose the utility function variable, with the aid of TransCAD software to calibrate model parameters, and validated the effectiveness and practicability of the model through the statistical test method. Then based on the assumption of corridor’s characteristics in the future years, the result of mode split can be achieved using the Logit model. Finally the author took Zhengzhou-Ji’nan corridor as an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of this model.
