The Expression Methods Of Urban Context

As a special container of human culture, cities are the crystallization of human civilization. As time goes on, every city has accumulated lots of historical remains and meaningful living scenes. The relation of time and space among them forms the unique context of a city. Urban context witnesses urban history, and reflects urban characters, and it is the inside information of urban development and great wealth for a city. However, under the era background of Rapid globalization and urbanization, and based on various reasons, urban construction in China tends to be the same and lack features and characteristics, which leads to the serious separation of urban context. Therefore, arranging the urban context and remodeling the development vein are significant for enriching urban residents’ spiritual life, driving the development of a city, and highlighting urban features. With features of universality, adherence and expansibility, information is the abstract entity of human resources. With features of integrality, dynamic and interactivity, information communication is a controlling method for human to change the world. Urban context is the background resources for urban development, the abstract entity of the historical clue, the most essential link during urban development and the existence of information. Urban context affects and guides urban construction, and supervises and feeds back urban environment. This process essentially is the process of information communication. Based on above viewpoints, this thesis rearranges urban context and explores the evolution mechanism in it from the perspective of information communication, and puts forward effective expression methods accordingly, so as to continue the inheritance of urban context.Firstly, the thesis briefly introduces basic theories of urban context, information and information communication, puts forward the information concept of urban context and communication modes, and discusses the scientificity of introducing information communication in the inheritance of urban context; secondly, the thesis discusses features of urban context as the inner evolution model of information existence, and summarizes structural elements and their effects and relations; then, from the perspective of information communication, the thesis puts forward the construction method for the expression of urban context; at last, taking the planning of Beiguan area of Yan’an as an example, the thesis demonstrates the maneuverability of the context expression method, which is put forward from the perspective of information communication.
