Study On The Traffic Guidance Based On The Operation Efficiency Of Road Network Under Freeway Traffic Accident

In recent years, freeway accidents occur frequently. Traffic guidance is playing a more and more important role in easing traffic congestion. To ensure operation efficiency of the road network and the implementation of traffic guidance, guidance region not only eases traffic congestion effectively, but also guarantees that the indirect influence scope of traffic accident is small. Therefore, a kind of traffic guidance based on the operation efficiency of the road network is proposed in the paper.Firstly, aiming at the operation efficiency of traffic guidance region, the traffic operation efficiency evaluation index and evaluation method are respectively established for the road section and the road network under the freeway traffic accidents. The evaluation process is made.Secondly, some researches are done about estimating the remaining capacity of the road after the accident, predicting accident duration time by using decision tree, predicting accident impact range by using traffic wave. Then the traffic guidance technology route under the road network is presented in the paper. And according to the technology route, the accident information released time range and space range can be determined, whether to take traffic guidance or not can be judged, and the latest time of traffic guidance is estimated with the traffic wave. For the redistribution of traffic flow after the traffic guidance, travelers’ Logit route choice model has been analyzed.Finally, when guidance region is determined, some factors need to be analyzed, such as the road network basic data survey, the selection of shunt path and guidance node. Based on the above content, considering guidance region to be as small as possible and ease traffic congestion, the selection criteria and method of the guidance region based on the efficiency of the road network are proposed in the paper. The redistribution of guidance region traffic flow is simulated by using TransModeler traffic simulation software. The minimum guidance region determination process based on TransModeler traffic simulation software is set. And by taking the road network which is consisted by Chongqing Yu Wu Freeway and State Road 212 for example, the scientific of method which the paper proposes has been tested.A determination method of traffic guidance region based on TransModeler traffic simulation software is presented in the paper. The method can not only ease traffic congestion, but also ensure that the indirect effect range of traffic accidents is small, guaranteeing the operation efficiency of the road network. It has a certain practical significance.
