Salivary flow ice is one of the biggest damage to the highway in severe cold area, which is common in Tong-Huang highway.It is a direct threat to traffic driving safety that can affect traffic operation and lead to the road pavement frozen, frosting, water damage, cracking, broken plates,slope collapsing, spalling, subgrade instability, scouring and other highway disease. Therefore, this paper is studying at the salivary flow ice of Tong-Huang highway, which is recently under construction. Through the engineering investigation, field test and theoretical analysis, the cause that can result the salivary flow ice has been studied. Besides, based on this, some treatment scheme and control measures of the salivary flow ice have been gained. The main research contents are as follows:1. The data of the salivary flow ice disease has been collected and retrievalled at home and abroad. Field survey of the salivary flow ice disease in Tong-Huang highway has been made of which the damage of to the roadbed, slopes and road hazards has been analyzed.2. A comprehensive evaluation of the cause and control measures about the salivary flow ice disease at home and abroad has been made. Some factors have been analyzed that can cause the form of the salivary flow ice disease such as hydrological condition, climate, topography and geomorphology, formation lithology, cutting excavation and the maintenance methods.3. Based on the field test in Tong-Huang highway, combined with the cause of the salivary flow ice disease, some control measures have been taken in subgrade, slope and pavement. And those measures have been observed.4. The measure that using the slope blind drain combined with the upward exhaust water pore to treat the slope salivary flow ice disease has been evaluated through the comprehensive fuzzy evaluation. And the measure has been verified in the entitative engineering.
