Internet of power transmission and transformation equipment(IOTTE) is the extension and development of smart gird from system intelligence to power transmission and transformation equipment intelligence. Electric devices running in good state is significant to the safety and reliability of the whole power grid. Due to the diversity of power transmission and transformation equipment and Complex Information, IOTTE has higher relevance and complexity in physical and information worlds. So there is an urgent need for in-depth research the IOTTE which oriented intellective monitor and entire life-cycle management Therefore The National High Technology Research and Development of China(863 Program) put forward the thesis of” Entire life-cycle management and intellective monitor of power transmission and transformation equipment based on The Internet of things technology”, This subtopic focuses on the research of information and communication model in IOTTE, This paper designed an intelligent power transmission and transformation equipment on-line monitor system based on IEC61850 with advanced internet of things technology. The system uses layered and distributed structure to monitor real time running state of main equipment in a substation. The system owns a good reliability and flexible scalability, It was proposed to providing reference for the selecting ways of power transmission and transformation equipment on-line monitor system based on IEC 61850.In this paper, the system is discussed from two aspects of information model and communication model. Innovations and main contents in this paper are shown as follows:① Firstly, this paper analyzed the methods of IEC61850 support for system function free distribution and system functional extension in detail, summarized the existing theories and information device modeling methods of IEC61850.The advantages of layering and distributing information communication model which defined by IEC 61850 is studied.② On the basis of improvement of IEC61850 second edition and the object-oriented modeling idea, combined with the main features of the the engineering practice status and function needs of condition monitoring system in substation and transmission line, the integrated information model for the bay-layer monitoring IED, intelligent monitor terminal IED is designed, including function, device and communication model.Then the configuration of the condition monitoring IEDs is depicted based on SCL(substation configuration description language)and the configuration file is compiled. Architecture of the information model of power transmission and distribution equipment is proposed, including process layer, bay-layer and station layer. The implementation method of distributed information processing,distributed computing and troubleshooting of the information system is analyzed in this paper.③ In order to adapt to the change of information model, a communication network model with three layers was put forward. Three kinds of system redundancy schemes were proposed to improve the reliability of the system. They are the implementation of dual network redundancy implement in duplex, dual network heat back-up in the master control and dual network heat back-up in the IED crossing mutual control. The solutions for the technical difficulties occurring in the system redundancy scheme realization process were proposed.④ In order to examine the actual function of IED, the technical test was carried out. The test of the system functions of the system was done, it worked properly and the desired effect was achieved. The simulation result shows the validity of the designed switching strategy.
