Micro-grid is the emerging concept in the development of power system, it can utilizeclean and efficient renewable energy and overcome the disadvantages of distributedgeneration for its difficult to manage and diseconomy. Micro-grid uniting the use of windenergy, heat and light to improve the efficiency of energy utilization, power quality andpower supply reliability. Micro-grid is suitable for the remote mountains and island wherethe power lines are difficult to lay but natural resources are plentiful. The researches aboutmicro-grid focus on control, protection, energy management and the model swith withconnect and disconnect with power grid. There is not a unified communication standard onmicrogrid. Due to different equipments have difficult communication protocol so that it isdifficult for the devices in the system to compatible with each other and integrate.IEC61850communication standard is used to solve the problem of Interoperabilitybetween devices. It includes complete modeling system and a variety of communicationmethods. By means of facing the object modeling technology and extensible architectureof communication, IEC61850is very sutible for different communication requirements.The research about IEC61850standard in the domestic has obtained many achievements.The changed datas in the microgrid system is summarized and layeredcommunication framework is built in this dissertation. On the basis of analyzing theprinciple of communication, data model and service model of interactive information withIEC61850are built in this dissertation.A communication management device is made to solve this problem that system hasdifficulty to communicate with each other because of different protocols. Its validity isconfirmed by Client-side software and microgrid project which are developed by xujigroup. The results show that an information model and a communication device can affordto the requirement that microgrid operates safely and steady and datas exchange byreal-time.
