The waterfront becomes the core area of showing the image and culture of the city with open water landscape and good vision. But the interference of artificial factors in building based, has destroyed the integrity of the waterfront environment, blocking pedestrian sight viewing and the viewing effect of waterfront environment t obviously. Corridors among buildings becoming the objective existence of people viewing can not be ignored. This paper is based on the waterfront landscape corridor as a starting point for the analysis of the image of the waterfront landscape. At the same time, it selects the waterfront road which larger flow of people on it as the observation point of view of research. It is based on the viewers along the route, and through the people’s movement to form overall feeling about the waterfront landscape impression. And the observation mechanism belongs to the dynamic view, it has obvious practical value as the observation point for analysis.Spatial index analysis method of this study is a kind of taking waterfront road as a continuous linear observer viewpoint image to evaluate the waterfront landscape image between road and water. This paper presents the concept of spatial index, selects spatial dimension affecting the image of the waterfront landscape to analysis. And there are many dimensions of influence, such as the spatial openness, spatial interference and spatial naturalness and so on. This paper selects two dimensions of space--spatial openness and spatial interference, and it is further subdivided into six specific indicators. Then it takes quantitative analysis of the way to construct the evaluation index. Then this paper describes the method of mapping, selectes a large number of water samples to carry on the data analysis, get the best experience interval of each index, and applies it to the evaluation and analysis of the actual project.According to "theoretical summary-- method research--data analysis-- project application", the article can be divided into four parts:The first part is the first two chapters of this dissertation. The first chapter is the introduction part, introduces the research background, purpose and significance of research, definition of related concepts, research contents and objects, the related research methods and framework. The overview part is the second chapter of the paper, it makes further academic preparation. It mainly studys the relevant theory and practice of waterfront landscape aesthetic evaluation at home and abroad, focuses on the research progress of the waterfront landscape aesthetic evaluation system at the present stage. The third chapter is the second part. It is mainly aimed at the waterfront landscape corridors image evaluation method-- spatial index analysis method. The paper is described according to the logic order "theoretical derivation--method building--practice application". It describes in detail the two core dimensions-- spatial openness, spatial interference and their subordinate index. The fourth chapter is the third part. It is part of the data analysis. It is mainly for the aim to screen out the suitable waterfront sample to make data analysis, through the analysis of the data to obtain the optimal experience interval of each evaluation index. The fourth part is the fifth chapter of the paper. This section discusses how to usethe optimal interval index to make practical application, It mainly introduces the research of analysis method of spatial index combining with actual project. The conclusion part is the last part of the article, to sum up the whole paper, and looks forward to the next step.
