Digital oscilloscope, as a common detection tool in electronic measurement field, is widely used by researchers and engineers. Benefited from evolving of technology, electronic equipments develop rapidly towards miniaturization and precision. With the frequency of signal increasing, the signal integrity becomes more and more influential on normal working of electronic equipments. The traditional desktop oscilloscope is not suitable for fieldworking of the engineers because of the large size, so the need of portable oscilloscopes is increasing.In addition, the functions of the traditional oscilloscopes on measurement are so limited that it can’t satisfy the more diverse demand. Only more digital. More intelligentialize and multifunction are future development trend. The features of Android operating system including facilitatting development, various application and powerful function is suitable for software environment of multi-purpose oscilloscope. So it’s valuable to design a kind of portable digital oscilloscope that can be easy to use, and realize automatic measurements and visual display. And such oscilloscope has many features, such as supporting fingers multi-control recognition, displaying colorfully, having friendly operation interface.The purpose of this project is to design a portable digital oscilloscope based on Android operating system, and the main work of this thesis is the design of processor platform used in digital oscilloscope. This thesis mainly does research on the hardware design of core board used in digital oscilloscope. In this design, core board adopts the Samsung’s chip named Exynos4412 as the core processor which has master frequency up to 1.5 GHz. 1 GB DDR3 memory and 4 GB FLASH are used in the design to constitut the minimum system to provide powerful hardware processing capacity for the entire system. The processor platform adopts 10.1 inches LVDS liquid crystal display with capacitive touch screen supporting five-point touch. The processor platform is also designed with many interfaces, such as USB ports, serial ports, Ethernet port, SDIO ports, C2 C port and others to facilitate connection with a variety of peripherals to realize function extension. In addition, design PCB of core board used for the digital oscilloscope processor platform combined with features and requirements of high-speed digital circuit design, and research on DDR SDRAM controller and circuit design.
