Realization of unattended substation(or fewer people on duty) is to improve the modernization of grid control and management level of an advanced way, is a modern power grid operation management goal, power grid dispatching automation development is the inevitable trend of the development of. Substation integrated automation system is a information collection processing capacity, quick feedback and other human beyond the advantages and development of substation automation technology, more and more mature, carrying out500 kV substation unattended studies, to improve operational efficiency, enhance the management level, the implementation of intensive management has a positive meaning.[1]Enter since twenty-first Century, electric power system is high parameters, large capacity, high pressure rapid development,500 kV network has formed ring network and become China’s main power grid architecture. Along with the electric power system reform by further and Zhongshan power system scale is continually expanding,500 kV grid construction and operation management of many specific issues we need to study and solve. According to the Zhongshan 500 kV network the construction and operation management status of 500 kV, unattended substation comprehensive automation system design and implementation to avoid the thorough research.This paper first summarizes the current500 kV in Zhongshan Power Grid Substation Operation Management Status of the operation and management on the foundation of the state, of Zhongshan 500 kV substation integrated automation system implementation of unattended feasibility and necessity undertook an analysis, and the500 kV unattended substation comprehensive automation system for the realization of the program. Then the realization of 500 kV of unattended substation integrated automation system was designed and implemented, the500 kV unattended station comprehensive automation system master control station for the main system configuration and implementation, including the realization of500 kV of unattended substation secondary system such as substation on-line monitoring, hardware and software design for the composition of the analysis[2]. Finally, the substation integrated automation system 500 kV unattended is the inexorable trend of social and economic development.
