Hot-mix asphalt mixture(HMA) in tradition will produce a lot of housing gas and smoke in condition of high temperature mix and compaction. HMA not only consumes large amount of energy, with aging is easily happened in higher temperature, but also degrades the properties of HMA. Warm-mix asphalt mixture(WMA) has advantage in decreasing compaction temperature compares to HMA, and it has good mechanical properties and performance. Hence, WMA can satisfy the requirements of environmental protection, energy conservation, emissions reduction, and reduces the cost. It has the good economic effect.Warm-mix additive reduces the high temperature viscosity of asphalt, so that the mixture at low temperature has good performance of mixing and compaction, but low temperature environment affects the aggregate and asphalt coating of aggregate and asphalt, the same with adhesion properties. If the AC of the mixture is low, it is easy to generate the problem of water loss. Higher application of AC is important to guarantee and improve the performance of asphalt and aggregate coating. Full asphalt mixture(FAC)is a skeleton dense type asphalt mixture proposed by professor Zhang. He emphasis on the importance of skeleton aggregate type and asphalt film role in asphalt mix. FAC with thick asphalt film, has been proved by engineering practice had excellent water resistance, fatigue resistance and skid resistance performance,but it requires more power to produce.Based on mentioned above, this paper develops a new method combined with FAC and WMA technology, exploring the design method of the new mix and the integration of mix asphalt, SBS modified asphalt, rubber asphalt and FAC, technical performance of mix asphalt mixture is rich. Sasobit is selected as the warm-mix additive, with testing asphalt adhesion temperature curve and real-time density of the specimens, mixing temperature and compaction temperature is determined. We use CAVF method for asphalt mixture gradation design, optimum asphalt content is obtained from method of Superpave asphalt mixture of. Finally, respectively, to warm mix asphalt mixture, water stability, high temperature performance and fatigue performance study: using high temperature flooding rounds of rutting test evaluation of warm mix asphalt mixture of high temperature resistance to water damage and deformation resistance; In view of the high temperature and rainy weather in south, with the improved splitting immersion test evaluation of warm mix asphalt mixture of water damage resistance; Using indirect tensile test evaluation of warm mix asphalt of fatigue performance. The results show that, compared with the hot mix asphalt mixture, Warm-mix FAC still has good water stability and fatigue properties of high temperature performance under lower mixing and compaction temperature.
