With the speedy development of economic and comprehensive improvement of the society, energy consumption and environment pollution have turned out to be severe problems. The situation makes the utilization of new energy attract more attentions. As a kind of convertor circuit, power electronics converter is the key in various kinds of power supplies which are efficient, high-quality and infallible.Innovation is the most important power in technology development. For all the times, the innovations and developments of power electronics converter are lack of specific instructions, and most of the innovations and developments are achieved under the guide of the experience and experiment of designers. It is an inherent defeat that we still lack of systematic research on how to carry on the innovation of power electronics converter, and the defeat hinders the innovation and development of Power electronics converter further. The TRIZ(Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) is a kind of guiding theory for innovative method, it has been applied to technological and non-technological fields and has brought out many outstanding achievements. The paper introduces the TRIZ into the study of power electronics converter, takes rectifier circuit as example to research on the maturity mapping of rectifier circuit and the innovation of PFC circuit and so on. The aim of the paper is to provide reference for the innovation of power electronics converter.The main contents researched in the paper are as follows:1. The paper interpreted the main contents of TRIZ, raises some general approaches which are used in solving the problems of power electronics converter.2. The paper studies the relationship between 39 general engineering & technical parameters and power electronics converter, and the relationship between 40 innovation principles and power electronics converter firstly, then deduces the technology conflicts, technical parameters and innovation principles for power electronics converter.3. Based on the theory of TRIZ, The paper analyzes the evolution process of rectify circuit, makes a maturity mapping for current rectify technology, and summarizes the evolution mode of the rectify circuit, all these work will provide a enlightening thought for the development of rectify circuit.4. Based on the contradiction matrix of TRIZ, the paper proposes a PFC circuit construction approach which takes advantage of the contradiction matrix of TRIZ, and deduces the construction features of some typical passive circuits and active circuits by this method. Finally, the paper raises a kind of new style Boost PFC converter, and uses it to prove the correctness and feasibility of the method.
