Currently, CAN(Controller Area Network) bus, with its own variety of advantages plays an important role in the field of automotive bus, and has good application prospects. In this paper, based on the practical application background, a CAN bus test system is designed with the STM32F105 RB as main chip. The system supports two-channel CAN with a maximum 1Mbit/s transmission speed, and use the USB port to communicate with the host computer. The PC software is designed based on Lab VIEW platform. The system possesses the better practicality.Firstly based on the research of application background at home and abroad, design goals are put forward. Secondly, based on the relevant standards, attention is paid to the CAN bus depth analysis of the theory, with emphasis on the data link layer and application layer theory. Thirdly select the STM32F105 RB as the main chip which is integrated with CAN interface and USB interface and design circuit of key modules of the power supply circuit, CAN interface circuit, USB interfacet. During the design process of the hardware in the overall program, in order to make sure the scheme feasibility, the paper focuses on introducing the demonstration process of feasibility. The firmware based on Keil u Vision4 platform and STMicroelectronics official repository. For USB driver, we generate it based on NI-VISA instead of the traditional development mode. The PC software is completely implemented on Lab VIEW platform, which not only achieves a simple packet transmission function, but also implements the DID reading and message analysis, making the system more feasible. Finally, as for the basic functions of CAN bus test system and key performance index, a comprehensive evaluation is conducted on system.
