A Preliminary Study Of The Historic District And Its Surrounding Underground Space Design Strategy

At present in China’s big cities, width is too large, the lack of the depth of the development of the "pie" model, which has seriously affected the people’s quality of life. Especially in the old city of Xi’an, the style needs to protect, highly restricted historical blocks, such as Town God’s Temple. This represents the local historical and cultural memory, and can make full use of underground space to protect the cultural relics, and to explore the economic benefits effectively..At present, the decline of the traditional business circle within the old city(Xi’an city wall) has caused the decline of the economy in the old city, and has caused the aging of the natural population.. The reason is affected by the impact of emerging business circles, such as: high-tech shopping district, Qujiang district. The main reason is the Bell Tower district is still maintained: bell tower as the city of Xi’an card, visitors must visit the place of the land.Therefore, how to rely on the old city historic district, heritage buildings to attract foreign tourist population to pull in the revival of the old city, at the same time to meet the high limit of the surrounding historic buildings, style,coordination and other issues, so in the synthesis of the historic district surrounding the development of underground cultural and educational travel to revive historical block as the key points of the study of this thesis.The scope of this research from the whole to the local: from the old town, West Street,and then to the temple, step by step analysis surrounding the main commercial buildings and the underground space, and finally puts forward a temple historic district underground space development planning assumptions. Imagine the building placed in the ground, displacement of more public space: square, green, etc..This paper is divided into three main parts: one, analysis the necessity of developing underground space in old city zone. Two, survey the status quo of the historic district of Town God’s Temple and develop the underground space to consider the factors. Three,to sum up the conclusion, survey data, the author draws Town God’s Temple concept plan design.Has the important role in the research of this thesis. From the point of view of urban design, as far as possible to restore the original appearance of the history, back to the axis of the original temple, most of the buildings sunk into the ground, to form a visual corridor, serve as a foil to the temple tall and of historic buildings salute. The ground has improved microclimate.. Suggestions will Beiyuanmen historic district overall planning, architectural history as nodes, with commercial street, plaza and other public activity space in series, and to explore the underground building and subway connections. It is expected that the research results of this thesis can be applied to the development of the underground space of historic district.. This thesis has a forward-looking, and limitations, I hope for the future of heritage buildings and the surrounding underground space research has a valuable role.
