The Evolution Of The Ming And Qing Xi ’an Urban Spatial Structure And Land Use Scale Research

Since 1982, the state council has released the list of 122 historical and cultural city in China and its protection message, embodies the Chinese government’s concern and attention for the protection of historical and cultural city land heritage. However, with a wide range of urban construction and global economic development, urban culture and the physical environment are seriously affected and attacked. In recent years, traditional culture of city, not only suffering from the dynasties wind and rain erosion, but also being man-made destruction and destroyed. Characteristics of Xi ’an today also is facing a serious crisis, and the urban landscape and further convergence, regional culture, urban culture and diversity in the trend of economic integration are gradually decline and demise. The author was based on such a social background,make a study of the Ming and Qing dynasties of Xi’an city function structure and the analysis of the land use scale, in order to explore the characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties in xian city and human settlements construction experience, and put forward the suggestions to the development of the contemporary Xi’an city and the keep of cultural characteristics.This thesis firstly introduces the research background, puts forward the urgency of protection of historical and cultural cities and city characteristics; overviews the purpose of the study, significance and methods, the definition of the object of study and domestic and foreign related research; combs the development course and planning ideas of each dynasty, and detailed the Spatial evolution of the Ming and Qing dynasties in xian city; Secondly,the thesis make a study of each part of Ming and Qing dynasties、modern Xi ’an city’s overall land use scale and function structure by using qualitative and quantitative methods, and summarizing and analyzing the characteristics of the urban land layout; At last,the thesis explores the internal cause of the change of the urban land use structure through the comparison and analysis of Ming and Qing dynasties and modern Xi ’an of land use structure and the function layout, and combine the Ming and Qing dynasties of Xi ’an urban residential environment construction experience with development of modern Xi ’an city, then put forward the corresponding construction suggestions and strategies in human settlement environment.The main achievements of this paper are: first, dividing and classifying the ancient city of Xi’an(Ming and Qing dynasty) land, and providing reference value for theoretical study of the ancient city function and the land use structure in our country;Second, Using the experience of urban human settlements construction in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and combining with the existing problems in the development of contemporary urban, putting forward the Suggestions of residential environment construction, to provide some valuable references for the practice of planning of human settlement environment the traditional city theory research and scientific.
