Research On Freeway Toll Gate Capacity Improvement Measures Under Heavy Truck Influence

In recent years,with the rapid development of freeway construction and the speed of highway construction accelerated,freeway transportation has become an important p art of road transportation and freight cars makes up a growing proportion of traffic.Fo r example,In the Statistical analysis of Tianjin city’s freeway network traffic volume in recent years show that the number of heavy trucks is increasing every year that cons ists in all the traffic.one-year analysis shows proportion of large truckload of 15 tons or mo re is more than 60% of the total number of goods vehicles,Charging by weight is use d as charging standards in our country,In order to reduce transport costs and improve tr ansport benefits, Freight transport sector takes advantange of large-scale and heavy-duty,thus large-scale and heavy-duty is increasingly obvious. In addition, compared with d eveloped countries heavy trucks of our country is in a larger proportion of traffic, mo re complex Vehicle type, larger differences in size and power performance of model and more serious is overloading.Heavy trucks interference the normal operation of the traffic flow, thus reducing the capacity of toll stations.This paper analyzes traffic capacity of Expressway toll lane and introduces the ba sic problems of highways toll stations around the toll station, the analysis of truck eff ects on freeway traffic capacity of toll booths,analyzes the laden vehicle modes of operati on, especially for laden vehicles heavy toll lanes atthe toll stations run mode.Presented by set ting mandatory diversion facilities and various auxiliaryfacilities(including signage, mandato ry reduction facility, speed feedback signs), small cars and trucksforced diversionto improve t he efficiency of toll stations.Finally,we propose measures to improve heavy traffic capacity of road toll station,this measure is truck weight ETC toll lanes,introduce early implementation technology of lorries weighting ETC and simulation analysis of ETC toll station.Making use of VISSIM to simulates the traffic capacity of Expressway toll station to check measures in this paper.
