As the main form of building structure,reinforced concrete structure makes full use of the characteristics of its two main materials,concrete and reinforced,which mainly bear pressure and tensile force. Through the good cohesive force between them, the two materials work together to meet the demand of engineering structure. In this paper, Small-size high-rise reinforced concrete frame structure is taken as research object, a deep analysis on the level of steel and concrete of the main stress components(beam and column) is made before taking the results in engineering examples,in which overall analysis and the project cost analysis are made. Some design Suggestions are put forward finally. The main work content of this paper is as follows:(1) Comprehensively discusses the development of Small-size high-rise building structure in our country,the significance of promotion of high-strength materials and give an outline of PKPM2010 and ETABS9.4 which is needed in research.(2) Give a contrastive analysis on different influence factors of artifacts, draw the corresponding data chart and summarizes the general rules of level of material selection when calculate component reinforcement, according to the design rules of various kinds of concrete structures,such as beam and column as well as the design points of components.(3) Carry on actual engineering design according to the results of component analysis. Analyze the calculation results after the primary of section size and material strength grade, adjust the structure according to the calculation results to make the structure satisfy the basic requirement of bearing capacity and normal use. And then select the level of different material through four schemes, determine the most reasonable material by comparing the amount of steel under different solution.(4) After select the most reasonable material level of engineering example, create ETABS model under the same condition. Select software PKPM and ETABS to compare the main parameters under the same condition in the model and Verify the rationality of the selected material level.The reasonable design of structure of component is the foundation of the whole structural design, if the choose of the section size of components and strength grade of materials are appropriate In the initial stages of structural design. Designers can be more quick and rationalization in structure adjustment according to the calculation of the initial results. Therefore, the component design is the key to structure design. On the basis of reasonable component design,according the structure of the overall design to adjust the control parameters on the model,and design a safe and economic structure finally.
