Gears are indispensable parts in machinery industry. With the continued development of industry, it is necessary for gear to optimization and research. The link of simulation analysis for gears is an essential part, so the stress simulation and analysis of gear has very great practical value.The main topic of this thesis is the study of involuting the helical gears. First, I set up parametric modeling of helical gear. Second, using ANSYS for gear carried out dynamics contact analysis, and finally through the modification of the gear tooth conduct uneven distribution of the contact load. The paper obtained the following conclusions:(1) With the formation mechanism of helical gear as the starting point, according to the structural characteristics of the helical gear. It analyzed the relationship between the basic parameters of face and slope face for the helical gear. As a theoretical background, the establishment of a gear involute line equation and the tooth root transition curve equation. For the structural characteristics of helical gears, the model of parametric feature of helical gear has been established. And though Pro/E parametric modeling tools, definiting the driver relationship of the basic elements and the size parameters of the helical gear. By changing the basic parameters of the helical gear can regenerate the parametric feature model of helical gear. It facilitated the establishment of follow-helical gear models, but also provided a model basis for the subsequent finite element analysis.(2) Then this thesis introduced the processes for solving computational problems using the finite element software Ansys/Workbench. Firstly, using Workbench software conducted modal analysis for gear assemblies, and solving model get the gear assembly 20 modal values, while the corresponding mode shapes obtained in FIG. Then this article on specific issues were calculated transient dynamics analysis for helical gears. Using Workbench software conducted contact analysis of transient dynamics for helical gears, and obtained the equivalent stress cloud of gear meshing process, contact pressure contours of the mating surfaces, the gear structure stiffness. By changing the boundary conditions, researching the contact stress of gears at different speeds conditions. Meanwhile, using a method of heat engine coupled with friction studied contact dynamics finite element analysis for gear, considering the circumstances of gear in friction and temperature stress state.(3) Tooth modification program was based on the gear modification which has strict understanding. According to the the actual machining, the thesis determined the value of tooth modification. Reading the documentation, the author had deep experience on the modification theory. And the amount of modification has been calculated by theory computation. Pro/E software was used to the remodel practice gear assembly, and using the finite element software ANSYS conducted dynamics contact analysis of gear. Compared with the results before and after modification. By the contrast before and after modification can conclude. By gear tooth modification has been resolved uneven load distribution problem.
