Gear transmission is one of the most common forms of mechanical transmission.The quality of its transmission has a great impact on the accuracy,vibration and noise of the equipment,so it is of great significance to study the performance of gear transmission.In this paper,according to the geometric theory and finite element method of rigid body motion in space,we established the geometric model and elastic model of gear transmission based on the measured data of gear geometric error and gear shaft motion error.We take involute spur gears and helical gears as examples to analyze the gear transmission performance and tooth surface contact conditions under the action of various errors,and study the tooth surface modification technology.The main research contents are as follows:(1)From the perspective of motion geometry,based on the measured error values,we have established a gear transmission geometric model that considers the tooth surface error/modification,tooth pitch error and axis error,and realizes the tooth surface contact analysis.Through the identification of the contact type,the model comprehensively considers the tooth surface meshing and various edge contacts;By comparing the speed of each point when multiple points are in contact,the alternate transmission of multiple pairs of tooth surfaces is realized.And we use the model to study the influence of tooth surface error,tooth pitch error and axis error on gear transmission performance and tooth surface contact.(2)On the basis of the geometric analysis model,we use the parametric design language in the finite element software ANSYS to establish the gear elastic model when the error is considered,and realize the load contact analysis of the tooth surface.The tooth surface error and the tooth pitch error are applied to the model by the nodal offset method,and the axis movement error is reflected in the relative pose parameters of the two gears.We use the model to study the gear transmission performance and tooth surface contact under the combined action of load,axis and pitch error.(3)The movement of the tooth surface of the gear in the meshing position when there is a tooth pitch error is analyzed,and a method is proposed to reduce the impact by adjusting the pairing of the tooth surface when the number of teeth of the two gears are not mutually prime.In addition,we study the modification technology based on the gear transmission model,a modified surface with parameters is established according to the gear grinding process,the part of the tooth surface coincidence greater than 1 is modified,and the minimum speed ratio impact is used as the objective function to optimize the specific modified surface parameters,so as to complete the design of the modified surface.Through the simulation analysis of the calculation example,the maximum speed ratio impact dropped by 70.59% after the modification.
