A Research About The Spatial Revolution,Protection And Renovation Of Huzhen Town Traditional Settlement

This paper sorts the dynamic evolution of Huzhen's traditional settlement into four stages in a spatial perspective on the basis of history and field research,then proposes a method to protect the traditional settlement of Huzhen by analyzing the dynamic evolution of Huzhen's traditional settlements.The first part of this paper introduces the research background,the purpose and significance,the framework and methods.The second part concludes the influencing factors of Huzhen's traditional settlement,including economics,ideological culture,geography,environment,traditional construction techniques,etc.Economics is the fundamental influencing factor of spatial morphology.Ideological culture embodies in three aspects,clan culture,etiquette and Feng Shui.Huzhen's traditional settlement declined by the force of those external factors.The third part sorts the development of Huzhen's traditional settlement into four stages,settlement stage,development stage,robust stage and decline stage,according to the development of Huzhen's clans.Then analyzes the spatial morphology of Huzhen's traditional settlement from three perspectives: the integral space form,the street space form and the architect space form,.The fourth part is the goal of this paper,which is to put forward a protection pattern which is suitable for Huzhen's traditional settlement.This part makes a comprehensive analysis of the historical and cultural value and characteristics of Huzhen's traditional settlement,and also the difficulties,the principle and the overall strategy,the content and the focus of the protection.The protection pattern is discussed from seven specific levels,the historic town,historical and cultural blocks,all levels of cultural relics protection units and cultural relics,historic buildings,historic villages,intangible cultural heritage and historical environmental factors,like old trees,bridges,river quay,revetment,wells,arch etc.This part may be used to guide the construction and practice of traditional settlement by a formulated principles and strategies.In the end,this paper devotes to protect cultural heritage of traditional settlements,save regional culture characteristics and active traditional settlements space to weaken the influence of global cultural convergence,in the sustainable balance of traditional settlement protection and development of the town,in meet modern production and life demand at the same time.
