The construction of the plateau wetland park plays a very important role in the protection and development of rare plateau wetland resources. However, our country’s wetland park planning and construction starts very late, and its relevant theory is not perfect. And its theory is more concentrated in urban wetland park planning. The research for the planning and construction of plateau wetland is very seldom, and it still needs exploring.This paper figures out the concept, category and characteristic of wetlands and plateau wetlands as well as division, content and functionality of plateau wetland park, which is good to have overall understanding of planning and construction of the plateau wetland park. Review and make summary of outstanding cases of wetland park at home and abroad. Then summarize and analyze the wetland’s planning principles, planning ideas, planning strategies. Secondly, combining with the theory of ecology, including ecological restoration theory, landscape ecology, environmental carrying capacity theory and the theory of ecological recreation, we can summarize the plateau wetland ecology planning method based on ecology theory. Finally, it makes practical research of the theory combined the actual planning cases, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous, Luhuo Prefecture, Xialatuo Wetland Park’s planning, validated the plateau wetland planning based on ecological theory, while proposing a new way of plateau wetland’s planning, and providing theoretical and practical reference for the planning and establishment of future plateau wetland park.
