Lead-acid battery has been widely used in many fields as its low cost, reliable power supply, convenient to move. Recently, With the development of electric vehicles, the demand for lead-acid battery is increasing, Meanwhile the safety and reliability are require higher.however, short working life and falling capacity still exist in lead-acid battery, some of them have to be scrapped ahead of time. For these problems, this paper proposes a lead-acid batteries’ repair thought, called a repair method of composite pulse through three phase.Combined with the characteristics of the lead-acid battery, this method used composite pulse to repair lead-acid batteries through three phase, according to this thought, designed the repair system. This system adopts the PIC as its control core, Using PWM technology, to make the system produce a charging pulse and a discharging pulse by controlling two IGBT open or close. The tip pulse can eliminate the sulfate,and the negative pulse can eliminate the polarization, to make the lead-acid batteries repaired. This system can detect the voltage of single lead-acid battery and the current of lead-acid battery group online.It has been confirmed that this system has a strong ability of repair and the process of repair almost no damage for lead-acid batteries through the simulation and text. After repaired,the lead-acid batteries’ capacity is restored and its working life also has been extended. |
