With the aggravation of pollution and shortage of resources,lead-acid battery which is a reusable energy storage device has been widely applied in production and life.But sulfation is exacerbating the extent of damage of battery and affecting the life of batteries.In order to eliminate sulfation and improve the utilization of lead-acid battery.This paper studies the intelligent activation system of battery,which has important practical significance to promote the development of battery repair technology.Through researching the chemical reaction mechanism of lead-acid battery,analyzing and comparing the existing activation methods,the repair method of composite pulse is proposed in this paper and the Maas curve is used as the control strategy.Based on the requirements of design of the battery activation system,the hardware circuit of the system,the software of the activation system,the human-computer interaction module and the prediction of the residual capacity of the battery by the neural network algorithm are completed.In order to control the frequency and amplitude of the activation pulse,the hardware circuit takes the PIC18F4580 chip as the core of control and adopts the two stages topology of rectification chopping.In order to ensure the stable output of the activation pulse which depends on the Maas curve,the pulse width modulation technology is used in this paper,and the modified PID technology is used to modify the activated pulse.The system adds human-computer interaction module to improve system controlling ability,strengthen system monitoring and manual intervention.Compiling communication agreement of C language under the environment of MAPLAB IDE,realizes intercommunication and coordinated operation between modules.A model of neural network is used to estimate the residual capacity of the battery.The battery terminal voltage and the rate of voltage change are used as inputs,the residual capacity of the battery is used as output,the actual capacity of lead-acid battery is tested by the circuit of constant current discharge.It is compared with the forecast capacity,the error of the neural network calculation is 5%.The accuracy of neural network is verified.By comparing the capacity of the battery before and after activation,it is concluded that activation can extend the service life of the battery.
