The Application Research Of BIM Technology In The Collaborative Design Sewage Treatment Project

BIM is short for Building Information Modeling, which is put forward as a new concept centered on information by construction industry in recent years, its application throughout the whole life cycle of construction projects. BIM set off a new round of revolution in the construction industry with the rapid development of information technology in recent, with the incessant development of BIM technology, its application value widely recognized by industry and government support. In recent years, Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development(MOHURD) has been promoting the application of BIM technology in the construction industry actively, and has considered the using of BIM in the engineering design、construction and running process as the major measure of promote construction industry’s technology ability. Recently, Jun Yi, vice minister of MOHURD, made a speech in the meeting of BIM technology for modern construction industry, said that who master the BIM will win the future.With the rapid development of our society and economy, urban environmental pollution, especially the growing problem of water pollution becomes more and more serious. The problem is not only reflected in the growing amount of sewage and the difficulty of processing, but also in its more and more complex of the components in the wastewater, the requirement of processing technology is also increasing. The expanding of sewage treatment plant and the more and more complicated wastewater treatment process result in sewage treatment project construction scale and the difficult of technology management becomes more and more deteriorate. Traditional design and construction supervision models, based on Auto CAD and engineering drawings cannot suit the highly complicated sewage treatment projects. New technology or methods are needed to achieve new progress. According to the research of the status home and abroad, BIM technology is mainly used in construction engineering industry, lacking of the application research in sewage treatment engineering, but the advantage is not allow to ignore.Our research group has researched on the application of BIM technology for several years under the development of the BIM. The results includes the using of BIM technology in water supply and sewerage works engineering design and construction, and how to use BIM in statistics of construction engineering quantity and cost. Based on these studies and referenced a large number of data, this paper launches the research of BIM technology going to the sewage treatment project, combined with two methods of literature research and case analysis.The article firstly introduces the origin, concept, related software and present situation of application of BIM in the construction industry, analyzes problems exist in the traditional sewage treatment project and put forward the advantages of BIM in solving those problems. Secondly, uses BIM core technology in wastewater treatment plant, that is to say establish 3D building information model of the plant. The model is constructed by using modeling software of BIM and based on 2D drawing. In the process of modeling, the author explores a special modeling method for sewage treatment plant project, and uses it into the actual projects, illustrating the feasibility of it. Finally, study the application of BIM technology in sewage treatment plant construction, based on the 3D building information model. The major research contents include: A professions collision analysis of model using Navisworks to generate collision reports, according to the collision detection results of the model to be modified to achieve the most optimal model construction; Achieve complete 4D virtual construction,using project software complete the preparation of progress in the project construction, importing Naviswords to associated components.The article put forward the detailed plan for application of the BIM technology in the sewage treatment project and finished the construction documents design by this plan, summarized the effective experience of the construction simulation by the BIM technology, this work provides theoretical and practical foundation for application of the BIM in the sewage treatment project.
