With the development of economy, building energy consumption in China increases gradually recent years. As a ket for sustainable development, the industry of building energy saving is a significant pathway to fulfill the requirements of national energy safety. In 2009, the concept of Passive House was introduced into China. Since then, in order to promote the construction of Passive House, the Chinese goverments have issued several relevant documents. As the Passive House type that suited Chinese situation was desperately needed, it was the structure problems of key joints that should be solved primarily. Therefore, Shandong Jianzhu University (SJU) put forward the concept of prefabricated Passive House (PPH), and constructed a real experimental house.This thesis analyzed the practical problems of the house, summarized the structures of key joints, and provided theoretical basis for the promotion of prefabricated architecture and Passive House in China. Works conducted to solve the structure problems of SJU’s PPH are as follows.(1) This research presented the conception and definition of PPH, defined the standards and requirements of PPH construction, analyzed the structural system fitted PPH, and located the key joints.(2) The thesis designed the structures of key joints of PPH in four aspects:wall panel form, joint of wall panel and main structure, building insulation, and air tightness.(3) After analyzing and summarizing practical problems of SJU’s PPH, this work tested the performance of building insulation and air tightness of this house, simulated the annual building energy consumption, and proposed corresponding solutions.This thesis is an engineering application achievement, which involves the structural problems of PPH’s key joints, as well as a series of testing and simulations of a built construction. The research could become a guide for upcoming PPH studies and constructions.
