To effectively control the water resources being used by profligacy, the concept of the ladder price of water arises at the historic moment.But most of the water meters on the market are still adopt the way of a single price for billing at present, a small amount of water meters use the ladder price measurement method and display the operation data in the meters in a bulk mode.Currently water meters in volume mode have some shortcomings on the market,for exsample,data structure displayed are not clear and not straightforward, logical data save inadequately and incompletely etc,which result in that user has a economic dispute with the Water Service Company.In view of this situation, the author of this paper developed a ladder price intelligent water meter system running in the amount mode, The main work of this design is to add ladder jump function, a preservation and display function of a large number of nodes based on the existing water meter metering, on-off valve and abnormal alarm basic function. But in order to show the integrity of the meter system,the basic functions of the water meter are described in this paper.The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:1) Completing the overall design of the system, this part include the system hardware and software, the design of the system hardware choose STM32F107 VC as the main control chip, peripheral function module includes measuring circuit, RTC temperature compensation circuit and LCD screen etc. In the software part, we complete the RTC temperature compensation module, new LCD module and system running basic modules such as the valve drive module, power supply voltage detecting module etc.2) This section mainly design the software of intelligent water meter measuringpart. Ladder price intelligent water meter measuring is a kind of measurement which the ladder jump step by step. the measurement of the water meter parts adopt three-level ladder increment step by step model. And the system in step jump and cycle change will save various types of running data, to facilitate the subsequent acquisition and lookup.3) The test for the whole water meter billing part show that the system under the coordination of hardware and software, can indeedly realize the function of ladder price billing.
