| In twenty-first Century, China’s aging population will reach the scale and extent never seen before in human history, it is the inevitable result of social and economic development and the progress of science and technology. At present, the population aging has become a worldwide problem, deal with the aging of the population is we need to work together to face the issue. In the background of an aging population, urban park space layout of activities for the elderly will become the top priority of the urban park planning and design.Huan Huaxi Park, integrated urban park is the most popular of the elderly in Chengdu. It is not only the people of Chengdu and visitors with an understanding of the culture of Chengdu, the experience of Chengdu humanistic spirit is an important place, it also has an important role in service around the residents of leisure activities. Therefore, this paper takes Chengdu HUANHUAXI Park as an example, to study the Chengdu city park space layout of the elderly.In this paper, firstly, through literature review, understanding of aging population in China; in addition, found by the study and comparison of environmental behavior of domestic and foreign research development, environment behavior study of the layout of the park to provide activities for the elderly urban non reference material to the design. On the field survey of Chengdu HUANHUAXI Park spatial structure analysis, the main use of dynamic observation, record and investigation of the behavior of park of interview and questionnaire, and then the distribution of living space in the environment-behavior level of Chengdu comprehensive urban park for the elderly, as the spatial layout of urban park reference. The following conclusions can be obtained from the investigation results:(1) through the dynamic observation, to determine the HUANHUAXI park has 8 fixed area elderly, according to its content is divided into static and dynamic behavior of space and behavior space and.(2) the elderly behavior characteristics of dynamic behavior of spatial HUANHUAXI Park in the park, mainly for 1000m-2000m and above the 80-89 distance, age, education degree is high, the main purpose is to park a fitness, concentrated in the morning and in the afternoon of the elderly, the park environment and facilities requirements; the elderly behavior characteristics and behavior space, mainly to garden distance within 1000m and 60-69 age, education level is generally low, mainly to participate in park group fitness activities, mainly in the morning and in the evening of the elderly, the park environment and facilities requirements of low.(3) the dynamic behavior characteristics of spatial distribution is close to the side of the road, the rest of the space; space environment is beautiful, quiet; the rest of the seat and other facilities; space area of about 20 square meters of the static behavior. The distribution characteristics and spatial behavior is near the park entrance, convenient living near the area of the old man; a large space, to meet the different kinds of activities on the square, keep the mutual interference etc.. Factors affecting the elderly(4) distributed in HUANHUAXI park movement activity spaces:the elderly due to convenient, accessible space; due to physiological reasons people like to stay open space; the elderly are willing to stay in a beautiful environment, external interference small space; old people like to place the size of the space for their own activities demand. Factors affecting the distribution and behavior of man in space:the elderly are willing to in convenient, accessible space at the collective activities; the old man like a collective activity in large enough space.(5) HUANHUAXI park scenic elderly spatial distribution differences in the number of, Bailuzhou attractions and Canglang Hu scenic areas little reasons:one is, due to the relatively small Canglang Hu and Egret Island Scenic space division, is not suitable for organization of collective activities; second, Egret Island Scenic Area the main wetland, distributed among several small islands, due to the plant density was bigger, the road is too curved, poor illumination conditions and other factors, weakened the safety of space; three, Canglang Hu scenic waterfront road paving the pebble, Tao bumpy road, not suitable for elderly people’s special physiological characteristics.(6) the city of Chengdu City comprehensive parks and the space layout principles: adhere to the static and dynamic behavior of space and behavior space and the principle of combining; adhere to the principle of diversification level of space activities for the elderly; meet the old space distribution is reasonable, suitable for the elderly physiological characteristics principles; adhere to the following principles to design suitable for the elderly. |
