In construction process, the critical purpose is construction quality, construction progress and construction safety. In these three aspects, progress analysis of construction influences construction quality and construction safety. Construction schedule control is an important measure for imporving the economic efficiency of construction enterprises and reasonable arranging resources. The modern construction project is becoming more and more complex and diverse, and the construction schedule is very urgent. These factors make the construction schedule is very important. In this paper, we first analyze the various factors from different points of view. Then, we study the influence degree of these factors on the construction progress based on the theory and method for linguistic multi-attribute decision making. Finally, we apply two project examples to show the practicality and effectiveness of the developed methods. The concrete contents are as follows:(1) We analyse the significance of the construction schedule for the project construction, and review the domestic and foreign research status for the construction schedule factors, including the main research methods, using techniques and researching objects.(2) The influencing factors are analyzed systematically, including human factors,construction equipment factors, material factors, methods factors, environmental factors,capital and risk factors. After that, we further analyse the influencing factors from the perspective of the construction contractor. Furthermore, the main methods and the compared and adjusted for the construction schedule are described briefly.(3) To learn the influence of various factors on the construction schedule, the paper discusses the qualitative evaluation method for the construction project factors. To deal with the interactions between elements in a set, we further develope a linguistic multiattribute decision making method based on fuzzy measures.(4) Based on the previous research, we explore the application of the developed methods in two projects. The results show these methods are feasible and effective.Finally, we summarize this paper and further point out the importance of analyzingthe factors in the construction project. The current research limitations and possible developing direction are also provided.
