The Quality Evaluation And Design Research Of Urban Public Space Of Qingdao City

At present, there are a lot of troubles in the urban planning design in the whole country, especially, a plenty of problems and contradictions between the public life demand of the urban resident and the urban public space of city. As Qingdao city has the same issue, a large amount of research should be taken to discover, analysis and solve the problem, and then promote the quality of the urban public space, and improve the quality of public life.After considering repeatedly, Taidong Commercial District(Taidong), Central Business District(CBD), and Olympic Sailing Center(OSC) has been undertaken as samples to carry on the study integrated. In addition, the evaluation principle and index shall be estimated on the basis of the relative theory and study method. It is showed that the OSC has the highest satisfaction, CBD second, and Taidong needs a large room for promotion in many aspects.In the premise that the succeed and insufficient of the urban public area planning design of the three samples, the following design strategy shall be proposed specifically, within taking the advanced experience of foreign city, and studying the urban public space at intermediate level. First, intensify the mix ability of the function, and increase the urban vitality. Second, increase footpath, make a green city with slow life. Third, pay attention to open space, call for place spirit. Finally, design elaborately, reduce negative interface.The city life needs a good public space. At the same time, the improvement and advance of the quality of the public space shall increase the urban resident activity, as well as good external benefits. As for urban planning in the 21 th century, it should be carried in order of ‘Life-Space-Architecture’, to retrieve the lost space in the city.
