Research On The Use And Design Of Coastal Open Space In Qingdao

As the significant natural resource of city exploitation, city coastal area shows its high value in improving city environments and enriching the local style and features. The particular status of city coastal area is drawing the attention of many people. City coastal open space, as the important component of the city coastal area, offers the places for people's daily recreation activities. Now, architects are facing an important subject on how to meet users'need in the open space designing.At present, the design of coastal open space stresses only on methods and morphological analysis, paying little attention for user's demand and the relational between human and the environment. This article is precisely stemming from this point consideration, based on theory of environment psychology, started with user's behavior and psychological need, carries on the use after the coastal opening space to appraise and provides the beneficial instruction for later design and the construction.Taking the coastal open space of Qingdao as the researching object, this article choosed three typical cases, research the position environment, the design of space, the activities and user's opinion by watching, sending out questionnaire and interviewing the users. In the same time, the article concluded the factors that influence the use of coastal open space and give some advice. The design space should pay attention to the ecology and the prominent sea characteristic of the coastal open space, strengthens the region characteristic and the cultural characteristic, consummates the use function, strengthen the surveillance and the management. In the end, new design concepts will be applied to the design practice, guiding the design of coastal open space.The first chapter of the paper introduction explained the background of the topic, the object of study and the research methodology as well as domestic and foreign corresponding research condition;Second chapter has carried on the brief elaboration to the environment behavior study and the elementary theory, including the research content and with the this article related correlation theories and so on, took further elaborates foundation;Chapter third is to research the significance of the Qingdao coastal open space from the regional environment, space design, the use of all aspects of their activities and views of users, to evaluate and optimize the design of the proposed improvements;Four chapter in the theory elaboration and in the investigation result analysis foundation, through the user to the coastal opening space environment appraisal refraction and to the user behavior rule research, to investigate the question which discovered in the study in detail;Chapter fifth has carried on to make recommendations for improvement of Qingdao coastal open space design and construction, which will also be applied to the design of practice to guide program design.
