Since permanent magnet synchronous motor has good speed performance, flexible control method, high efficiency, large starting torque, long life and other advantages, it increasingly widely used in computers, military, automotive, appliance and other fields. In conventional motor control systems, a rotor position sensor was used to acquire position. This adds additional system cost, reducing the system stability, and cause the control sensitive to the impact of the position sensor accuracy. In recent years, research on motor control without position sensor control technology became the concern of many scholars at home and abroad, and a lot of theories and methods has expand the application of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM).Based on this background, this paper design a controller based on luenberger observer theory to control the permanent magnet synchronous motor.1) Introduce the background and development of several common sensorless motor control theory, and set up the mathematical model of PMSM. Then detailed discuss the luenberger observer theory, including its principle and design method.2) Create a simulation model of the entire control system, and also discusses the principle and method of Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation. The simulation model is created to test the correctness and feasibility of the theory.3) Give the software implementation of the control system, shows the flow chart of each part, including system interrupt, position estimation, the open-loop start, the PID controller and so on.4) Chose one STM32F103 chip to build a hardware controller platform. And give the design method of each part of the circuit, including the power supply circuit, speed regulation circuit, driver circuit, and various protection circuit. Finally designed experiments to test this thesis proposal.Simulation and actual experimental test showed this control system runs well. That means this sensorless algorithm is correct and feasible, it has simple structure, good response, and guiding significance to the actual motor control system. Finally, the thesis made a summary of the whole thesis and put foreword expectations, also puts forward of the future research contents.
