Seismic exploration is a common method of geophysical exploration, it is widely used in all types of resources exploration project. Seismic exploration usually works in multiple locations, needs more survey lines, covers an area of several square kilometers or tens of square kilometers, and works in the harsh wild. Seismic data acquisition system faces many problems, such as wide range of acquisition point, roll shifting and special environment. For large seismic exploration system, power consumption is an important problem, which directly determines continuous work time of the whole exploration system, also determines the power supply to the system. The number of acquisition station is the largest in the land seismic exploration system, so the power level of acquisition station directly determines the power level of the whole seismic exploration system.This paper is based on the cable telemetry seismograph GEIST-438 system which is independently developed by Jilin University. Aiming at the problem of larger power consumption of the acquisition station, the design proposes the host control system of telemetry seismic acquisition station based on SOPC technology to decline the power consumption. The hardware of host control system based on Smart Fusion2 FPGA, completes the design of the MSS micro control subsystem with Cotex-M3 ARM as its core, the design of peripheral logic interface module, the design of acquisition interface module of 8 channel seismic data and the design of network interface circuit. On the basis of the hardware design, the paper completes the software design of system. The paper completes the transplantation of u-boot and u Clinux system, the design of device drivers of the data acquisition and the ethernet control module, and the design of data acquisition software, achieves the command interaction between the acquisition station and the host computer, acquisition and transmission for seismic data.Finally, the paper builds prototype test system, completes the test of the prototype system, including the test of system power consumption, the test of transmission rate and the test of functional testing. Compared with the GEIST-438 system, the power consumption of the host control system is reduced by 58%, and the power consumption of the whole system is reduced by 35%, the data transfer rate is 16Mb/s, and the prototype system can realize the synchronous acquisition of eight channel seismic data, the results achieve the expected design objectives.
