The compressive strength of corrugated boxes is an important quality measure. The strength analysis of corrugated cartons is the key issue in carton production quality control. How to according to the requirements of the known compressive strength to determine the material and structure of cartons, and stacking of transportation’s influence on strength, has become a key affect on the carton quality and the cost.This paper focuses on the enterprise’s practical production condition to classify and analyze the existing corrugated carton compressive strength calculation methods. Through the test and theoretical calculation to analyze the comparison between theoretical value and practical value, choose the best calculation scheme and contact with the actual production to modify it. The results show that:when we calculate the compressive strength of empty corrugated cartons in the paper design, the theoretical calculation value’s change rate of strength of Makee algorithm plan two is lower than the Kellicutt algorithm and Wolf algorithm. The calculation of Makee algorithm plan two is the most close to the average test result of empty corrugated cartons’ compressive strength. Using integrated ring crush strength of corrugated board as corrugated cardboard marginal pressure strength in Wolf formula to estimate the compressive strength of empty corrugated cartons is not accuracy. When using Kellicutt algorithm to calculate the compressive strength of empty corrugated cartons, the inside dimension circumference size is closer to the actual value.For the corrugated carton with showcase, its compressive strength will be affected. This article designs some corrugated cartons with a variety of different shapes and locations windows, through the test method and the test data analysis, to explore various window forms influence the compressive strength of the carton. The results show that:in these display windows, trapezoid, triangle and prismatic make the strength lower most, so we don’t recommend the cartons’ showcase choose these three shapes. Rectangle and roundness cut the least corrugations, so they make the strength lower least. The number of corrugations that rectangle and roundness cut are basically same, but the roundness make the area of cut corrugations that close to the edge and corner of the corrugated cartons is lesser, so the circular window has lesser effect on strength than rectangular window. Make the window in the center of the display surface has lesser effect on compressive strength than in other locations.The carton in the warehouse stacking, those cartons at the bottom affected by the stacking load for a long time will lose their compressive strength. This article use the carton pressure test to simulate different stacking load, to explore corrugated cartons stacking’ s effect on the strength of the cartons. The results show that:In the case of stacking strength is invariant, the transformation of cartons is increase with the time. Before the carton crushing point, a rapid deformation stage for a short time is appeared first, then the cartons deformation increases with time is slowly. After the carton crushing point, The cartons deformation will increase rapidly. Because of the rapid increase of the deformation needed for a short time, cartons lose their support ability quickly. The higher of the stacking strength, the shorter of the crushing time. During cartons stacking process, compressive strength is not falling continuously, but increase first, when the stacking time is 50% of crushing time became the maximum, then began to decline until be crushed.
