With the constant expansion of city scale and the increasing of population, the contradiction between passenger transport hub and urban traffic is becoming more and more serious in large cities, especially for the highway passenger traffic hub. The purpose of this paper is to explore the current situation and development trend of the highway passenger transport hub in large cities. And accelerate the transformation of the highway passenger transport hub to highly intensive and comprehensive transportation transfer hub.This paper relies on the national "973" project study "An Empirical Study of Metropolitan Transit Oriented Comprehensive Transportation System", in the context of Liuliqiao passenger transport hub, researches the character and coordination about highway passenger transfer hub.On the basis of systematizing and summarizing relative theories about system characteristic and function location of highway passenger transport hub, this paper concludes the characteristics of transfer system, the layout of transfer connection and the connotation and methods of coordination analysis. Through field investigations, the relevant information and data of Liuliqiao passenger transport hub’s including location characteristics, layout structure, operation status, the characteristics of passenger flow, personal attributes, travel characteristics and transfer mode selection are collected. The characteristics of passenger flow structure, the time and space distribution characteristics of passenger flow and the characteristics of transfer structure in Liuliqiao passenger transport hub are analyzed in detail. SPSS software is used to analyze the correlation to select the characteristic variables. The disaggregate Multinomial Logit Model (MNL) was selected as the structure analysis model of transfer mode selection. Then calibrate the model according to the data of RP and SP survey. And the share ratio of transfer mode is predicted. Combined with regional development planning. calculate and analyze the coordination of transfer convergence between different traffic modes through transfer line coordination, transfer capacity coordination and coordination of transfer facilities scale. Aiming at the existing problems, this paper puts forward the optimization measures.
