| Due to the guidance and support of the government policy, the use of the BIM technology has been developing in recent years. And it has been especially used in designing and construction, which has brought huge profit already. With the popularization of BIM in designing and construction, the study of BIM is not only limited to these two aspects, but also reach facility management of building. BIM technology can collect data and transmit data in projects; in this case, it can be used for building maintenance after the projects, which can be of great help to management. However, the research about facility management based on BIM technology is at its primary stage, and there is no system to integrate BIM and facility management. Therefore, how to integrate BIM and facility management is the major problem we need to solve now.In the meantime, more and more facility management problems in campuses expose the conflicts among department in school management. Recently, departments such as dean’s office, security office, finance department, logistics department and so on all have their own data-management system. Because of the disunity of these different systems, these departments cannot share their data with each other, which causes inefficiency of school facility management, and also leads to high cost in management. The best way to solve this problem is to build a new system to collect, integrate and manage all the data inside the campuses-BIM. The campus facility management based on BIM technology can collect integrate, manage and apply all the data in campus, and this research has its theoretical value and realistic meaning. So, this technology has its high value and promising future.The campus facility management based on BIM technology can make space management and asset management effectively. Meanwhile, using advanced technology such as internet+ and IOT can save large energy in buildings. |
