As the railway industry pays more attention to the safety problem, the portable recording equipment has a lot of popularity in the locomotive works. The crew members are urged to work standardized through the recording and replaying of their speech which can monitor the whole work process. Because of the temporary situation which may delay time during the traveling, the locomotive engineers’ operation is not based on time, but on the sections of railway. However, the recording data which the present devices provide only contains time information which doesn’t have a certain relationship with the operation, so it’s not convenient for locating the recording data precisely which belongs to the section of railway or the specific operation. Therefore, the key to this problem is designing a new type of recording device which can record the speech and the locomotive running information synchronously. The main work in the dissertation is as follows:1. The solution to the problem of getting and fusion of the locomotive running information is designing a recording device with a wireless communication module based on the train wireless network. While the device access the network and get the data using the wireless communication module, the speech recording synchronously and the locomotive data are saved in the record file. It provides the speech and the kilometer post when the file is replayed.2. In terms of hardware design, the dissertation introduces the overall architecture of hardware firstly and the modules include the MCU module, the wireless communication module, the audio codec module, the USB module, the memory module, the display module, the amplification module and the power module.3. In terms of software design based on the modularization, the module partition and the overall architrcture are introduced firstly, and the modules are described detailedly, including the recording and replaying module, the wireless communication module, the file creation module, the file management module, the RTC module and the main function. At last, the functions of the device are tested which work ideally.
