The Bridge is the key nodes and multipurpose project of transportation facilities. So it is important to ensure the safety and normal working state of the bridge for the security of national economy development.However, because of the long-term effect of environment and loads, various forms of diseases or defects arised. It’s important for the safety of bridge to obtain the actual technical status of bridge and take effective protection measures. Therefor, bridge inspection and technical condition evaluation was carried out in this paper, which is based on the bridge inspection project of Hang Pu highway bridges and Jian Hu bridge. The main contents are as follows:(1) Testing in site method, testing process and matters of existing beam-bridge are introduced schematically, after which this paper conducted application research taking the Jian Hu bridge as an example.(2) By introducing the testing method recommended by the Standards For Technical Condition Evaluation Of Highway Bridges and Bridge technique condition evaluation process based Chinese highway bridge management system(CMBS), evaluation are made on Tong Jiu overpass bridge in Hangpu Highway.(3) The improved technical condition evaluation method of existing Bridges is put forward. Technical condition evaluation model is built by combining the AHP and group decision making method comprehensively. Buckle score coefficient and new buckle score sheet are provided. This new evaluation model is also applied in an engineering project. Application results show that the condition score based on the new model is very close to the condition score based specification after comparing original bridge overall technical condition score value and the new condition score values. It also shows that the condition score based on the new mode increased with the original score, the condition score based on the new mode is higher with the original score approaching the full mark, the condition score based on the new mode is lower with new original decreasing. This is just goes with the optimization ideas-" Weaken the small diseases, Strengthen the critical disease ".
