In the urban rail transit, braking performance is not only related to the train can reach the destination timely and accurately, but also related to the vehicle running safety, it is very important to protect the safety of the passengers. In the braking performance test of newly-built train, it needs the long experimental period and high cost, so simulation of the virtual system comes out, simulation of the virtual system can find the problem early in the train braking process, reduce the probability of problems occurring in the test and reduce the testing time, and reduce the experimental cost, Improve the reliability of the train.With the progress of science and the development of society, people accept the idea of energy conservation gradually and pay more and more attention to the use of energy efficiently. In the rail transit, the huge energy which is produced in the brake has caused people’s attention, and With the development of the technical development, the air and electric blended braking shows its superiority. For closing to the real situation of the simulation research, then put forward that using ADAMS and Simulink software jointly establish a virtual platform and simulation of train control process and braking performance.This paper first discusses the development of domestic and foreign brake monorail brake system. Then introduce the ADAMS software simplely, use the ADAMS software to establish tire of the monorail train, track beam, bogie, air spring suspension system model, and assembly into the train of the prototype model; subsequently introduce the Simulink software simplely, use the Simulink to establish the rectifier module, motor module and resistance absorption module and combined them into train of regenerative braking module. Then the braking control model of the air and electric blended braking is established with Simulink software.Finally in front of the establishment of the train Adams model is transformed to a Simulink model, and with monorail regenerative braking module and the braking control model of the air and electric blended braking combine the train model, using the model of train to analysis the braking distance and braking speed, the electric quality of the brake provides a basis for the research and ideas of the monorail train brake’s control and brake performance.
