| Excessive current and higher discharge temperature will lead to excessive energy consumption in the reciprocating compressor. The energy consumption of valves has a great effect on the efficiency for compressor. Traditional calculation method of indicated power for reciprocating compressor, do not directly calculate the energy consumption of valves, but the actual compressor cycle is simplified, which get the compressor indicated power. In addition, the traditional calculation method of the discharge temperature also ignores the impact of energy consumption in the suction and discharge valves. Therefore, studying on the energy consumption of valves is quite important.The indicated power of reciprocating compressor is divided into the energy consumption of valves and theoretical cycle energy consumption, and the energy consumption of valves is calculated by establishing the mathematical model of valves in reciprocating compressor. Moreover, actual discharge temperature of reciprocating compressor is calculated.The influence of structure type, gas property, connecting rod ratio, relative clearance volume, pressure ratio and spring force on the energy consumption of valves is analyzed. The calculation formula of the energy consumption ratio in suction and discharge valves is obtained. In order to reduce the total energy consumption of valves, the differentiated design methods of suction and discharge valves are proposed.By the results above, the first-stage valves in 6M50-305/320 N2/H2 compressor and the valves in D-12/288-314 N2/H2 recycle compressor are transformed. The energy consumption of valves is greatly reduced, and the above methods are proved effectively and credibly. |
