With the development of the economy, because of the world water shortage and the growing demand for the fresh water resources, resulting in global freshwater resources shortage. At the same time, rain as a kind of available water resources has long been neglected by the people; with the sponge city concept is put forward, the effect of rain is more and more paid attention to. The rainwater collection and treatment, can be achieved using standard, can alleviate the problem of lack of water resources. And landscape in sponge city construction and utilization of water resources has unique advantage, while both landscaping features, it can effectively realize rainwater retention, permeability, transmission, purification and utilization.In order to realize the collection and utilization of rainwater, the Mudanjiang Normal University, for example, study of rainwater collection and utilization; through net coefficient method and Penman formula of quantitative calculation of campus rainwater collection and water requirement of plants, comparison between the two; through the analysis of Mudanjiang University site conditions, which is divided into three regions, respectively, practice three rainwater collection and utilization mode; for water balance analysis shows that its scientific nature. At present, the conclusions are as follows:(1)To calculate the potential of rainwater resources in Mudanjiang Normal University, and the amount of rainwater collected from the campus of Mudanjiang Normal University is 367485.9m3,Plant water requirement is 49235.58m3.(2)Will Mudanjiang Normal University from the angle of rain is divided into three regions, the different practice of rainwater utilization mode. Life service area can collect rainwater for 161265.48m3, plant requirement for 28480.1m3, collection and infiltration model; The main teaching area can collect rainwater for 50483.4m3, plant requirement for 8996.2m3 University and collection mode; sports activities area can collect rainwater for 121622.6m3, plant requirement for 11759.2m3 to the penetration model based.(3)Campus will let landscape design and rainwater utilization design combining, campus landscape design,at the same time, rainwater collection, transmission and utilization. In the center of the campus, combined with reservoir rainwater collection, formed into a pond, waterfall, fountains and other water features; in the northwest side of the campus of West Park, combined with artificial lake the rainwater storage and utilization, forming natural waterscape.Campus through the use of rainwater garden, sunken lawn, grass ditch, reservoir, and other facilities, rainwater collection, penetration, transmission and utilization. The Episcopal School District reservoir capacity are designed into the 700m3,500m3,700m3, abandoned flow tank volume were designed to 97m3,76m3,131.5m3. and through water balance analysis, it is verified that the design of the capacity of rationality.The campus landscape planning and design combines the function of rainwater utilization, rainwater collection and utilization and landscape design combined; the concept of "sponge city" in the practice of the campus landscape, for the construction of both rainwater utilization function of ecological landscape to provide a reference.
