With the increasingly drastic marketing competition and the rapid development of science and technology, manufacturing companies develop towards just-in-time production for multi-variety and small batch. Material distribution, as an important part of the manufacturing system, is to guarantee the production activities go well. This thesis studies material distribution method for high-speed train bogie assembly process. Since the problem of the high cost of distribution, shortage and accumulation of the material in work stations occurs frequently in traditional periodic material distribution and pull material distribution under just-in-time production, a just-in-time material distribution method based on JIT was proposed. It realized the passive distribution pattern can be replaced by the initiative distribution pattern.Based on analyzing the characteristics of the enterprise current production, the material distribution requirement and the current material distribution mode, firstly, the materials for assembly process were classified and different distribution strategies for different kinds of material was designed. Then, for kitting material which is the research priority in this thesis, based on station demand constraints, the line side inventory constraints, capacity constraints and path constraints of the distribution vehicles, the JIT-based kitting material distribution model whose optimization objective is unit time transport cost is proposed. And a double genetic algorithm is designed to solve this model, at the same time, distribution time, distribution stations, distribution quantity and distribution vehicle scheduling problems are solved. After that, for various uncertain factors in the assembly process that affect assembly plan and material distribution plan, the driving mechanism of check and re-distribution is put forward that is based on the real-time condition. And the mechanism that can be applied to production environment with changed tact time is proved by Monte Carlo method. Finally, an example is given to compare the distribution strategy that is proposed in this thesis with the pull distribution strategy and the periodic distribution strategy. The validity and effectiveness of the model and algorithm described in this thesis were proved by this example. Furthermore, according to the above research, the high-speed rail bogie materials distribution origin system was designed and developed by combining the requirements and design principles.
