Nowadays, the life mode of the urban residents is changing rapidly. The development of the existing activity space in the city has been unable to meet all ages’social community needs on the material level and spiritual, especially teenagers aged 12 to 18 years. Teenager is a transitional period from childhood to adulthood. They are receiving expectations and pressure from families, schools, society and other aspects. The pursuit of outdoor leisure activities is an important way for them to relax and show themselves. However, the wrong leisure concept of parents, the traditional teaching mode of the school and the limited social resources of the society restrict the healthy development of the physical and psychological quality and behavior shaping of teenagers. As an important part of the social group, both of the material and spiritual demand of the activity space have been paid more attention to by the society, education, industry and so on.Based on the above research background, this paper scientifically defined the concept of adolescent, behavioral psychology, activity space and other related concepts under the guidance of domestic and foreign literature research on the behavior psychology and the teenager activity space. Guided by the theory of Maslow’s demand theory, Outdoor activity space theory, Environmental perception and cognitive theory, this paper identified 3 elements of the activity space behavior pattern, and summarized the research process of the teenager activity space design. Secondly, the main characteristics of behavior preference of adolescents were studied by means of questionnaire survey on the basis of theoretical study. The survey discussed the behavior, environment perception preference characteristics, activities item preference types etc. of teenagers when they participate in outdoor activities. The investigation results included the demand level development level of activities space, and the teenager activities space perception of five elements including the spatial image, emotional experience, behavior support, self realization and behavior perception satisfaction. Again, the study construct 5 latent variables of teenagers activity spatial behavior perception satisfaction research structure model including the spatial image, emotional experience, behavior support, self realization and behavior perception satisfaction based on the principle of Structural Equation Model, and the measurement index system of the 20 observed variables. Next, the study choice 17 city parks in five districts of Fuzhou City as the empirical data collection base, in order to analysis the status quo of the existing city park and argument the science and effectiveness of the structure equation model. According to the data processing results, this paper summarized the influencing factors between the mutual effect degree and mode of action. Finally, according to the analysis results of empirical research data, this paper puts forward some suggestions in the three layers of the construction of the whole activity system, the construction of the teenager’s activity space and the public participation, in order to provide scientific and effective theoretical guidance and reference for the design of urban teenager activity space in the future.
