The parallel indexing cam mechanism is a stepping mechanism which can convert the continuous rotary motion to the required intermittent movement, and is widely used in various fields such as packaging, food, tobacco, medicine and so on. Due to the periodic inertia moment when the mechanism operate in high-speed and the increase of the elastic deformation of each component, there is a certain gap between the actual output and the theoretical value of the mechanism, therefore, which dynamic performance in the process of operation has become the focus of attention.The multi-degree of freedom dynamism math model of the parallel indexing cam mechanism is established in this thesis based on mechanical system dynamics, The virtual prototype is set up according to the math model by ADAMS and ANSYS, and then the the influence of different factors on the dynamic performance of the cam mechanism is studied through simulation. The primary coverage are as follows:(1)The main mechanism parameters of the parallel indexing cam mechanism is stuied in this thesis. And the influence factor on the mechanics dynamism property is analyzed in detail, which offering an adequate theoretical basis to study the mechanics dynamism property accurately.(2)According to the mechanical system dynamics, the multi-degree of freedom dynamic model of the parallel indexing cam mechanism is established using the lumped mass method, and then the corresponding dynamic equations is established. The undamped dynamic response is solved to provide theoretical basis for dynamic analysis of the virtual prototype.(3)The dynamic equation of cam mechanism with single degree of freedom is established. The response and the spectrum of them under several motion laws is obtained by MATLAB.(4)The data points of the cam is obtained by CAD/CAM which are used to establish the 3D model of the parallel indexing cam mechanism, and the modal of the input and output shaft is analyzed by ANSYS, from analysis the natural frequency and vibration modes is obtained to make sure the mechanism is reliable.(5)The rigid-flexible coupled virtual prototype of the parallel indexing cam mechanism is built By ADAMS and ANSYS and the dynamic model is verified using the simulation curves.(6)The influence of different mechanism parameters and working conditions on the dynamic performance of parallel indexing cam mechanism is analyzed with studying the simulation data which provides a theoretical basis for the design of cam mechanism.
