In recent years, with the power system information construction promoted by national grid, the transformation and optimization of power system management business by the use of information technology and software technology is an important challenge currently faced by power companies. In the power company line inspection business, the current business model is not conducive to upgrade skills in the inspection operations quickly. The emergence of the virtual reality technology has facilitated to address this problem. The VR technology can create a 3D virtual modeling technology of Line Inspection realistic training environment for the inspection business, to help patrol the business to quickly enhance their technical capabilities and business literacy.In this thesis, the research and development work of power line inspection simulation system organized and developed by Xindu Power Company is studied and investigated in detail. And at the mean time, the process of system development and technical basis of relevant theories and systems development process are analyzed and discussed in this thesis. Firstly, both the basic theory and techniques involved in the system’s development are analyzed, such as the theoretical system of virtual reality technology, Unity3 D development platform, and 3DSMax modeling tools, etc. In the study work, the work of need requirements analysis, functional design, functional realization and system testing is studied deeply in this thesis. This thesis focuses on the system design and implementation work virtual 3D modeling capabilities, on which the key technical points of implementation were examined in detail. The function in the system includes training mode and two types of assessment models, in the training mode, only the inspection operations personnel training process and record the results to be localized, and in the assessment mode, you need to transfer the training results to the server side management.Through the implementation of the system, it could provide a convenient inspection training environment for the power company’s internal line inspection personnel to help patrol the business to quickly enhance their operational capacity and level. At the same time, the research results of this thesis also has a positive reference and meaning for the power line inspection service training in other parts of the power company to enhance and improve their business level.
